About Cannon Solar

Engineers, installers, and service operators — all under one roof.

Cannon Solar is a founder-led, full-service solar EPC. We design, build, and service residential, commercial and storage systems across 22 states — and we built the platform that runs the whole operation.

How we operate

The principles we build and operate by.

Solar is full of brokers, lead-gen funnels and middlemen. We're the opposite of that — and we run the company that way on purpose.

Engineers, not salespeople

Every proposal is sized and stamped by our in-house engineering team. We don't run a call center — we run a job site.

W-2 crews, not subs

Our installers are full-time Cannon employees. They wear our logo, follow our QC playbook, and answer to our PMs.

We service what we sell

Every system we install flows into CANOS for 25-year monitoring and SLA-tracked service. The relationship doesn't end at PTO.

Founder-led, owner-operated

No private-equity rollup. Decisions get made by people whose name is on the truck — and who answer the phone when something breaks.

Do the math

Every proposal is grounded in real production modeling, real tariff analysis, and real after-tax IRR — not hand-waving.

Build it like it's ours

Cannon crews wire and torque every connection like the system is going on our own roof. Because in 25 years of service, it might as well be.

Our story

From one truck to a 22-state service network.

We started as installers. We grew because we kept being asked to fix what other companies left behind. Today we run one of the most mature service organizations in the industry.

  1. 2014

    Founded

Cannon Solar starts as a residential installer in the Southeast with a single crew and a pickup truck.

  2. 2017

    First commercial MW

Crosses 1 MW of commercial capacity installed. Adds in-house electrical engineering and PE stamping.

  3. 2019

    Service division launched

Stands up a dedicated O&M division to service Cannon-built systems and orphaned third-party fleets.

  4. 2021

    CANOS goes live

After years of stitching together off-the-shelf tools, we build CANOS — our own service ops platform — and put our entire fleet on it.

  5. 2023

    Multi-state expansion

Service footprint grows to 14 states. Cannon becomes the back-office service partner for several national developers.

  6. 2025

    22 states, 150 MW

Crosses 150 MW lifetime installed capacity and 3,200+ sites under CANOS monitoring across 22 states.

What we do

Four divisions. One accountable team.

Engineering

Stamped PE drawings, structural reviews, AHJ permits, and utility interconnection — handled in-house.

Construction

W-2 install crews, OSHA-30 supervisors, and a project manager owning every job from kickoff to PTO.

Service Operations

24/7 fleet monitoring, automatic ticketing, dispatch and SLA-tracked resolution — all powered by CANOS.

Asset Reporting

Portfolio-level dashboards and quarterly performance reports for owners, lenders and finance partners.

CANOS

We built our own platform

CANOS isn't a tool we bought. It's a platform we built.

See how it works

After years of stitching together monitoring portals, spreadsheets and helpdesk tools, we built CANOS — our own service operations platform — because nothing off-the-shelf actually fit how solar O&M works.

  • 24/7 monitoring opens tickets before customers notice a fault
  • Dispatch routes the nearest qualified tech with parts in hand
  • Field crews close jobs from mobile with photos and signatures
  • Owners and lenders get portfolio dashboards and quarterly reports

Credentials

Licensed, certified, and continuously trained.

Our crews carry the certifications that matter — and we keep them current. Every Cannon installer trains annually on the latest equipment platforms and safety standards.
